One day, Mulla Nasruddin's wife was washing clothes. She was beating the clothes with a ciud-like stick.
Just then, she heard a loud sound...T...H...U...D... It came from the adjacent room.
The wife missed a heartbeat. She stopped washing the clothes and shouted, "What happened ? What was that loud sound ? What fell down ?"
The Mulla who was in the adjacent room shouted back, "Oh ! Nothing to worry about ! It was just my coat... It fell down the steps,you see."
The wife was surprised. She asked him " The coat fell down the steps...! With such a loud sound !? How is that possible ?"
The Mulla said, " Of course, it's possible ! The coat had to fall down the steps with a loud sound... because the Mulla himself was inside ti !"
The Mulla's wife, who was always grumpy, burst out laughing.
